A Vintage Polish Hardcover Book (measures 8 1/4" x 11 1/2" [21 x 29 cm]; 158 pages) (Learn More)

Polski Plakat Filmowy (literally translates to "The Polish Film Poster"), the 1957 Tadeusz Kowalski (with foreword by Jan Lenica) illustrated book featuring information and color images about the history of Polish movie posters. Note that this book lists all information in 5 languages (Polish, French, Russian, English and German)! Note that this is the very first book published on Polish movie posters and it is extremely rare and sought after!

Important Added Info: Note that we have only once before auctioned this rare and wonderful book. That example had a dust jacket that was in much lesser condition (not at all surprising) and it sold for $151. This example is in its original mailing carton, and except for slight darkening on the dust jacket and tiny wear in the borders of the jacket, is in wonderful condition! Note: We have 16 images of the books in this set, but due to a space limitation, only TEN of the 16 images are displayed above. However, there is a "supersize" link to the right of those images that lets you see the other 6. Note that we have pictured the front cover, the title page, and the interior page that shows the publishing information, and one or more interior 2-page spreads.

Condition: very good to fine. As noted above, the book is still in its original mailing carton. Except for slight darkening on the dust jacket and tiny wear in the borders of the jacket, it is in wonderful condition!
