An Original Vintage Theatrical Paperbacked Insert Movie Poster (measures 14" x 36") (Learn More) Law of the Texan, the 1938 Elmer Clifton Texas cowboy western ("No varmints are going to harm a woman...while this ranger has two fists and a gun!"; "Unmasking desperadoes of the lawless border!" "Buck blasts his way to a bandit's lair... And a girl's heart!") starring Buck Jones, Dorothy Fay, Kenneth Harlan, Donald Douglas, Matty Kemp, and Joe Whitehead, and SIlver (Buck's horse). Note that Buck Jones' white horse was named Silver (just like The Lone Ranger's later on!), and Silver made 73 movies with Buck Jones from 1922 until Jones' death in 1942 in the tragic Cocoanut Grove fire. But oddly, Silver was almost never billed on the posters for Buck Jones' movies as so many other famous horses (most especially Tom Mix's Tony) were! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: good. The poster had rough creases along all the foldlines, and tattered borders. There were stains down the left 2" of the poster. The person who paperbacked the poster did restoration along the folds and put new paper over the old borders, but they did not do much to restore the stains down the left 2" of the poster (but to be fair, those light stains are not very distracting).
