The poster was folded once in each direction and there were creases, small tears, and tiny bits of paper loss on both foldlines and around the edges of the poster. There were some tears, stains, and tiny paper loss scattered in the poster. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects, and the restorer painted over much of the solid white areas, to "even them out".
