An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" (8x10) Movie Still (Learn More) The World Moves On, the 1934 John Ford romantic epic Louisiana family melodrama ("The love story of a century"; made right after "Cavalcade", this movie follows two Louisiana families for over 100 years, covering both the Civil War and World War I, through all their business ups and downs and their many intertwined romances; since one family is of French origin, and one of German origin, the members of the two families end up fighting on the opposite sides in World War I [John Ford had earlier used this exact same theme in his 1928 "Four Sons"]; in the 1920s, the last descendant of one of the families becomes a major Wall Street speculator, but loses his fortune in the crash of 1929, and he and his lovely wife return to their ancestral home, to try and start all over again) starring Madeleine Carroll, Franchot Tone, Reginald Denny, Sig Ruman, Stepin Fetchit, and Louise Dresser NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
