A Framed Original Vintage Autographed Movie Animation Cel (measures 15 3/4" x 18 3/4" [40 x 48 cm]) (Learn More) Bugs Bunny is an animated animation cartoon rabbit created in 1938 at Leon Schlesinger Productions (later Warner Bros. Cartoons) by Tex Avery and Robert McKimson. He was voiced by Mel Blanc from 1938 to 1989. His popularity led to his becoming a corporate mascot of the Warner Bros. company. Bugs has appeared in more films than any other cartoon character and is the ninth most portrayed film personality in the world. Important Added Info: Note that this auction is for an original production cel from Warner Bros.' "Half-Fare Hare", and the cel has been personally autographed (signed) with an inscription by Mel Blanc (he wrote Bugs' trademark "Eh, what's up Doc!"), AND it also has a signature from artist Virgil Ross, who was the creator of Bugs Bunny! Of course, Half-Fare Hare is the classic 1956 cartoon where Bugs Bunny boards a train and meets cartoon versions of Ralph Kramden and Ed Norton from "The Honeymooners", both voiced by Daws Butler. This great cel shows the cartoon Ed Norton and Bugs Bunny. The framed cel comes with a "certificate of authenticity" from Great American Ink, a California art gallery. Condition: very good to fine. The cel is in excellent condition. There is a tiny brown stain in the left of the white mat, but otherwise, the frame is in excellent condition as well. Learn More about condition grades
