Note that this feature was a collaboration between Walt Disney and Harman-Ising Studio (Hugh Harman and Rudolf Ising). Harman-Ising donated artists to Disney to work on the production of Snow White and at the same time, produced this short under the Disney banner. It is one of the very last shorts of the Silly Symphonies series. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this one-sheet, and that was 29 years ago, when it sold for $5,720! Almost everyone reacts to this poster in the same way, saying something along the lines of "What a great poster!", and it would certainly look wonderful in a child's room. It is a shame that it is SO rare, so that it can only be displayed in a very few locations! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had small paper loss at the top crossfold and someone put a small piece of tape on the back of that area, and also on the back of the middle crossfold, where there was small separation. There were tiny bits of paper loss on parts of the folds and many tiny pinholes, creases, and faint smudges around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. While I think most collectors could happily display this wonderful (and extremely rare) poster as it is, it is also certainly true that any talented restorer could remove it from the linen and after additional restoration (which should not add much paint to the poster), it will display really wonderfully! Either way, the new owner will have a great poster to display on their wall! Learn More about condition grades
