An Original Vintage Theatrical Single-Sided Lenticular One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 28" x 39 3/4" [71 x 101 cm]) (Learn More) Species 2, the 1998 Peter Medak science fiction (sci-fi) fantasy horror thriller sequel ("Mating season begins..."; "Hope they never meet. Pray they never mate."; "Terror in the flesh"; "Based on characters created by Dennis Feldman"; "Written by Chris Brancato") starring Michael Madsen, Natasha Henstridge, Marg Helgenberger, Mykelti Williamson, George Dzundza, James Cromwell, and Justin Lazard NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: This is a very rare uncut printer's test poster (often referred to as a "printer's proof")! Before a poster was printed in large quantities, the printer would print a limited number of posters as "test" posters. Because they needed to be shown to people at the studio, people in the art department, the stars, etc, they would print a number of test posters and distribute them to these people. Some of them would be fully trimmed, but often they would leave the color chart on the left edge of many of the posters, which added an extra inch to the width of the poster (which explains why the poster measures 28" x 39 3/4" [71 x 101 cm]). Once these printer's test posters were shown to the various people in a position to "OK" them, the printer would print the full print run of the posters. Not only is a printer's test poster far more rare than a regular poster, but it is also 100% genuine as there is no fear of purchasing a reproduction! Note that this one-sheet measures 28" x 39 3/4" [71 x 101 cm]. Also note that this is an advance one-sheet (note the "Mating Season Begins Summer 1998" at the bottom of the poster). Finally, note that this is a lenticular poster. First made on rare occasions in the 1960s, lenticular posters are posters that have a "3-dimensional" look to them, and when you look at them from a slight angle, they look one way, and then when you look at them from a different angle, they look entirely different! It is said that not that many of each lenticular poster was made, likely due to the added cost of production. They can be easily damaged, and cannot be rolled tightly, as can a regular printed poster. We have provided two images of this poster, both shot at angles, to allow you to see what "both" images look like, but please remember that you are bidding on a single poster, NOT two posters!
