An Original Vintage Theatrical Deluxe 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) The Mummy, the classic 1932 Karl Freund Universal Ancient Egypt romantic monster horror thriller ("It comes to life!"; "The most amazing make-up ever achieved"; "Story by Nina Wilcox Putnam and Richard Schayer") starring Boris Karloff ("The Uncanny"; in the title role as Imhotep the Mummy), Zita Johann, David Manners, Edward Van Sloan, Arthur Byron, Bramwell Fletcher, and Noble Johnson (as The Nubian) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this is a deluxe still printed on double weight paper stock. It has a photographer's stamp for Universal photographer Freulich, and it also has a stamp that reads "BORIS KARLOFF IN UNIVERSAL PICTURES". Three years ago, we auctioned a similar still to this one (but with not quite as nice an image), and that still sold for $1,010, and that one had some writing in the blank borders that this one does not! Condition: very good. There is faint staining in part of the bottom blank border. The edges of the dark colored areas of the photo have slightly discolored, typical with deluxe photos from this time. There is an oval stain on the back of the bottom of the photo, but it does not affect the front (because the paper is deluxe and quite thick). Otherwise, the photo is in really nice condition!
