Mason Hopper silent family relationship melodrama ("Smiles and Tears --- The Million Dollar Kid Was Never More Wonderful"; "Presented by Sol Lesser"; a wacky star vehicle for Coogan; he plays the son of parents who split up, and his mother takes him away, and she dies, and he runs away, and ultimately is reunited with his long lost father) starring Jackie Coogan ("At his best in Daddy"), Arthur Edmund Carewe, Josie Sedgwick, Cesare Gravina, Bert Woodruff, and Anna Townsend NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this window card! Condition: good. The card was folded across the middle and had some creases and scuffs scattered in the image, and some tiny stains scattered throughout the card. Overall, the card was in fair to good condition prior to restoration. A talented restorer gel backed the card (meaning they backed the card onto a gel material) and they then performed restoration to the above defects, and then removed the gel backing, so that the card still looks and feels like an original card (and it is!), with no backing at all. Given the card's defects described above, the restorer did a pretty good job, but they had to paint over the entire light background area, and because they did not want to paint over the whole card, you can see some tiny dot stains scattered in the remaining areas. The card displays pretty well, but it has a "restored" look. Also, at some point after it was backed, it acquired surface paper loss in the bottom right blank corner (which will of course not show if it is framed, or it is easily touched up.
