An Original Vintage Unfolded Special Exposition Poster (measures 17" x 27" [43 x 69 cm]) (Learn More)

Sesquicentennial International Exposition, the 1926 poster ("America Welcomes the World"; "The Voice of the Liberty Bell") promoting the Sesquicentennial International Exposition which was held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania from June 1st to December 1st. It's purpose was to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the signing of the United States Declaration Of Independence in 1776, as well as the 50th anniversary of the Centennial International Exhibition of 1876. Note that this poster features Dan Smith art of Columbia (an early symbol of America similar to Uncle Sam)

Condition: fair. The poster was never folded. It has paper loss in the top right corner, slightly extending into the top of the flag. There are small tears and small paper loss in the rest of the borders, with a few creases and smudges. Any talented linenbacker could restore the tiny part of the missing art at top right, along with the blank paper, but bear this in mind before placing a bid on this poster.
