As he grew, he learned the Laws of the Jungle and eventually claimed the title, Lord of the Apes. Yet, years later, when he was returned to civilization, he would remain uncertain as to which laws he should obey... Those of man... Or those of the jungle. Now the director of 'Chariots of Fire', captures this epic adventure of a man caught between two different worlds."; "Based on the story 'Tarzan of the Apes' by Edgar Rice Burroughs") starring Ralph Richardson (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), Ian Holm, James Fox, Christopher Lambert (billed as "Introducing Christopher Lambert"; in the title role as Tarzan aka John Clayton, Lord Greystoke), Glenn Close, and Andie MacDowell (as Jane Porter) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this script is the third draft from March 22, 1982 (it contains earlier pages from 2/26/82, and was surely initially prepared prior to that date as well, and the 2/26 and 3/22 revised pages were added at a later time, but the original date is not recorded anywhere on the script). Also note that the writers are not credited on this but that the movie credits Robert Towne and Michael Austin. Also note that the script has the working title "Greystoke: The 7th Earl John Charles Clayton Tarzan Lord of the Apes", but the movie ultimately was called "Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes". Condition: good to very good. The cover has darkening and staining, and the back cover has slight staining, but otherwise, the script is in pretty nice condition. Learn More about condition grades
