Barrows"; about a singing waiter who becomes a Broadway star, and he gets married and has a child, but then his wife leaves him for a gangster; that causes him to become massively depressed, and he ends up a bum, but gets his old job back as a waiter, where a friendly cigarette girl helps him make a comeback; but then his son dies the night of his return to the stage, and he sings his son's favorite song!) starring Al Jolson, Betty Bronson, Josephine Dunn, Arthur Housman, Reed Howes, Davey Lee, and Edward Martindel NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this scene card, and that was in a complete set 33 years ago! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: fair to good. There are many tiny water stains scattered in the right of the card, mostly affecting Jolson's jacket, but with a few in Lee's hand and arm. There is some faint scuffing in Lee's fingers that extend into Jolson's cheek, with a lesser amount in Jolson's collar. There is a tack hole in each corner, with a few other tiny water stains scattered around the edges. This is the sort of card that responds really well to professional restoration. It is likely that much or all of the water stains can be removed through chemical means, after which the card will look fantastic. Note that this card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back! Learn More about condition grades
