An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Gorgo, the 1961 Eugene Lourie English London kaiju battling rubbery monsters dinosaur horror science fiction (sci-fi) thriller ("Like nothing you've ever seen before!"; "The greatest monster picture ever produced!"; "This is the big one!"; "Original Story by Eugene Lourie and Daniel Hyatt") starring Bill Travers, William Sylvester, Vincent Winter, Bruce Seton, Joseph O'Conor, Martin Benson, Barry Keegan, Dervis Ward, and Christopher Rhodes NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Joseph Smith Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked and during the backing process, its defects were repaired and it now looks nice. From any distance away, you can't see what restoration was done. It may have had only very minor defects, or it may have had more significant defects that were well restored. It is possible that you can see SOME traces of the restoration from a distance, but if so, we clearly note it below. You can tell which of the above is the case for this particular poster by reading our "pre-restoration" description and also by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). The poster had wear along the foldlines and pinholes, creases, and small tears around the edges of the poster. There was a second vertical foldline slightly to the left of the regular one and a few scuffs in the center of the image. Linenbacking the poster minimized the above defects, but they can still be seen when viewed from inches away. From any distance, the poster looks pretty nice! Learn More about condition grades
