Mason and Victor Heerman") starring June Allyson (as Jo), Peter Lawford (as Laurie), Margaret O'Brien (as Beth), Elizabeth Taylor (as Amy), Janet Leigh (as Meg), Rossano Brazzi (in his first American movie!), Mary Astor, Lucile Watson, C. Aubrey Smith, and Harry Davenport. Note that this was a remake of the 1933 movie of the same name which starred Katherine Hepburn as Jo Marsh. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. That might be because the movie was re-released in Australia in the 1950s, and a new daybill with much less interesting art was printed, and likely the 1949 ones were used up or discarded at the time of the re-release. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good to fine. The poster had minor fold and border wear. Overall, the poster was in very good to fine condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well. Note that the restorer left a tiny bit of excess linen around all four sides of the poster (they left a small border in order to protect the poster from handling damage, but they did not leave a larger border, to allow it to more easily fit in a frame).
