Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Insert Movie Poster (measures 14" x 36") (Learn More) Jailhouse Rock, the classic 1957 Richard Thorpe rock 'n' roll (rock and roll) crime prison romantic musical ("His first big dramatic singing role!"; about a young man who is sent to prison for manslaughter, and while there he is helped to become a singer/musician by an older convict, and after he is released, he becomes a major rock star!) starring Elvis Presley ("At His Greatest"), Judy Tyler (who sadly died in an auto accident before the release of the film), Mickey Shaughnessy, Dean Jones, Jennifer Holden, and Anne Neyland NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: very good. there is an extra horizontal fold halfway between the middle and bottom folds; there are extra creases along the top and bottom foldlines; there are two 1" tears in the bottom border; there are small tears and tiny paper loss in the lower part of the right blank border; there are minor creases and smudges around the edges of the poster; Overall, the poster is in pretty nice condition. I would think most collectors would be happy with this poster and would gladly display it just as it is. But of course, a talented restorer could certainly touch up the creases and minor smudges and mend the two clean tears in the bottom border and make the poster look "perfect" without doing a lot of restoration!
