An Original Vintage Linenbacked French Political Campaign Poster (measures 13 3/4" x 23" [35 x 58 cm]) (Learn More)

Vous Ne Voterez Pas Pour Ca (literally translates to "You Won't Vote For This"), the circa 1935 French political campaign poster featuring artwork of a French 5 franc coin being divided, with crows in the background. Note that after a return to the gold standard between 1928 and 1936, French currency was allowed to resume its downward value slide, which may be what this poster is referring to.

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster was never folded. It had a few creaes, smudges and scuffs around the edges . Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but at some point after it was backed, it was roughly handled, and it acquired a diagonal crease in the top right corner that goes into the poster background, slightly touching the grey area.
