An Original Vintage One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh) (Learn More)

The Weaker Sex, the 1948 (released in the U.S. in 1949) Roy Ward Baker English family relationship romantic comedy ("The story of Martha Dacre her daughters and the men in their lives"; set during World War II [WWII] on the English Home Front) starring Ursula Jeans, Cecil Parker, Joan Hopkins, Derek Bond, Thora Hird, and Bill Owen. Note that the taglines for this movie proclaim it to have "The Sweep and Majesty of 'Cavalcade'", and "The Humor and Tenderness of 'Mrs. Miniver'". I wonder if it was that good of a movie! Note that the phrase "the weaker sex" refers to women and it was in common usage for many years, but we doubt we will see it used again in the same way any time soon!
