An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Vive La France (also released as "The Cross of Shame"), the 1918 Roy William Hill silent World War I (WWI) Red Cross medical nurse romantic melodrama (about a Frenchwoman living in America who goes back to France when World War I begins, and joins the Red Cross; her boyfriend joins the French Army, and she manages to save his life and deliver important papers, but not before evil Germans cut a mark on her breast called "the cross of shame", because she refused their advances) starring Dorothy Dalton, Edmund Lowe, Fred Starr, Tom Guise, and Bert Woodruff NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: good to very good. The poster had tears and areas of paper loss in the top horizontal foldline, including just below Dalton's eye. There was a lesser amount of wear on the other folds and in the borders. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking.
