An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Half-Sheet Movie Poster (1/2sh; measures 22" x 28" [56 x 71 cm]) (Learn More) Daddy-O, the 1959 Lou Place crime drugs thriller ("Meet the 'Beat'! Daring to live... Daring to love!"; "Story and Screenplay by David Moessinger"; about a truck driver who is also a nightclub singer who ends up involved with drug running for the mob, but he's actually working for the police, and the producers promoted this as having a "beatnik" connection, even though it was pretty slim) starring Dick Contino, Sandra Giles, Bruno VeSota, Gloria Victor, and Jack McClure NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: fair. The poster was never folded. It had staple holes around the edges and in the center. It had a snipe glued to the middle left over the center of the girl's legs, probably a Canadian rating snipe. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The snipe was removed, leaving residue on the girl's legs, and the poster was backed without restoration. Unfortunately, it was then displayed and the reds in the poster faded somewhat, which did not affect the title too badly, but the girl's body was originally a flesh color, and that is all gone. Please bear in mind the poster's defects before placing a bid on it. Learn More about condition grades
