An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Halloween, the classic 1978 John Carpenter horror slasher thriller ("The Night He Came Home!"; "When were you last scared out of your wits by a movie?"; "Written by John Carpenter and Debra Hill") starring Donald Pleasence, Jamie Lee Curtis, P.J. Soles, Nancy Kyes (billed as "Nancy Loomis"), Nick Castle (as The Shape, aka Michael Myers), Will Sandin (as the young Michael Myers), Tony Moran (briefly as unmasked Michael Myers at the end of the film), Charles Cyphers, Kyle Richards, Brian Andrews, John Michael Graham, Nancy Stephens, Arthur Male, Mickey Yablans, Brent Le Page, Adam Hollander, Robert Phalen, Sandy Johnson, David Kyle, Peter Griffish, and Jim Windburn. Note that the iconic Michael Myers mask was originally a Star Trek Captain Kirk mask that was painted and slightly altered by Tommy Lee Wallace. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Bob Gleason Important Added Info: Note that this poster has a ratings box with a green background. When the movie was first released, posters were printed with a green ratings box. Shortly after (probably because the movie was a big hit), additional posters were printed with a white ratings box. Most collectors consider both of these to be original release posters, but that the green ratings box ones are considered more desirable by many collectors! Condition: good to very good. There are several tack holes scattered throughout the poster including some in the black background at lower right and in the credits at lower center (repaired with tape from the back). There is minor separation at the crossfolds and some of the ends of the foldlines (again, repaired with tape from the back). There are minor creases and scuff marks throughout the poster from it being roughly handled at one time. Fortunately, most of the poster's defects are in background or border areas and would be greatly minimized during the linenbacking process although I can imagine many collectors would be happy to display it just as it is!
