Chinatown, the classic 1974 Roman Polanski (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film) romantic police corruption crime film noir ("Written by Robert Towne"; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award) starring Jack Nicholson (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), Faye Dunaway (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), John Hillerman, Perry Lopez, Burt Young, John Huston (the famed director in an acting role), Roman Polanski, and Bruce Glover

Artist: Jim Pearsall

Condition: good. There is a long slightly diagonal tear running from the left of the bottom border into the bottom left of the image (ending at the upper end of the wave). It was repaired with clear tape from the back, and there are many tape repairs on the borders. Obviously, the above represents significant defects, but it would be easy for a restorer to mount the poster and touch them up, after which, it will look great and there will be virtually no paint restoration anywhere in the image!
