What thrills what laughs what drama"; "From the stage play by Mary Roberts Rinehart and Avery Hopwood"; about a weird master criminal who wears a hooded costume and is known as "The Bat", and he hides out in an isolated large house in the country and kills one of the occupants and takes his place, and the police must discover who is really The Bat!) starring Chester Morris (in a dual role as Detective Anderson and The Bat!), Chance Ward, Una Merkel, Richard Tucker, and Wilson Benge. Note that this was a virtual remake of the 1926 silent movie, "The Bat", as it had pretty much the same plot. We have heard that the comic book character "Batman" was inspired by the lead character from this movie (although, of course, here he was a villain). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
