Zanuck; "A dramatic thunderbolt!"; about an Austrian bell ringer musician who has a double tragedy when his second son is born, for his wife dies during childbirth and the son is deaf; he goes into great despair, and becomes a bum, giving up his children for adoption; many years later, the deaf boy regains his hearing and becomes a famous musician, and he finds his down-and-out father) starring Jean Hersholt, Don Ameche (in his 3rd credited role!), Allen Jenkins, J.
