Date Sold 1/1/2009Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Jules Verne's Rocket to the Moon (released in the U.S. as "Those Fantastic Flying Fools" and also as "Blast-Off"), the 1967 Don Sharp English fantasy ballooning adventure comedy ("The most fabulous entertainment event of the year!"; "Original story by Peter Welbeck") starring Burl Ives ("as P.T. Barnum - out to take the 'Sucker born every minute'"), Troy Donahue ("A fall guy shouldn't go up in a balloon - but he did."), Gert Froebe ("Inventor of the BANG heard 'round the world"), Lionel Jeffries ("Single-handed he set science back 100 years."), Daliah Lavi ("She lived for love and how she loved it, with a one track mind and two fiancees."), and Terry-Thomas ("He wears an 'old-school-tie' he got shoplifting!") NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that the posters for the release of this movie under the title "Blast-Off" say "...formerly 'THOSE FANTASTIC FLYING FOOLS'" directly under the title. Yet, both these posters and those with the original title are from 1967, and both have the same NSS number, making this either a same-year re-release, or a simultaneous second release (which may have occurred when they changed the title just as it was being released). If anyone knows more about this odd situation, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: good to very good. There is some paper loss at the center crossfold as well as some separation at some of the ends of the foldlines (some repaired with tape from the back). Learn More about condition grades
