An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" (8x10) Movie Still (Learn More) Ride Him, Cowboy, the 1932 Fred Allen wild horse cowboy western (about a cowboy who finds a horse that was accused of killing a man, and is called "The Devil Horse", and he is able to get the horse a pardon, and he trains it and later finds out that it was innocent of the murder, which had actually been done by one of the town's leading citizens and blamed on the horse) starring John Wayne, Duke ("His Devil Horse"), Ruth Hall, Henry B. Walthall, Harry Gribbon, Otis Harlan, Frank Hagney, and Glenn Strange. Note that this was the very first appearance of "Duke", the horse. Not only would he become John Wayne's horse in his six Vitagraph westerns, but over time, his name would become John Wayne's nickname, which stayed with him the rest of his life! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: good. There are clear tape repairs on the back of the right border and clear tape on the front and back of each corner. Note that we show a scan of the front of the still, with a scan of the back of the still beneath it (even if the back is completely blank), so you can see what is on both sides of the still, and also better judge the condition of the still.
