An Autographed 14" x 20 3/4" [36 x 53 cm] Cut Album Page Matted With Two 8" x 10" Stills (Learn More) John Mills was an English actor from the 1940s to the 2000s. You likely will be surprised to learn he started his show business career as a teenager as a dancer and singer, performing in stage revues! He switched to dramatic parts and went to Hollywood in 1939 for a part in Goodbye, Mr. Chips, but he refused to sign a contract, and he returned to England, where he became one of the most popular English actors of the 1940s and 1950s, and he successfully transitioned from leading roles to character parts without any problem at all. He is the father of actresses Hayley Mills and Juliet Mills. He passed away in 2005 at the age of 97. Important Added Info: This cut album page has been personally autographed (signed) by John Mills. It has been matted with two vintage stills (from "In Which We Serve"), and either could be displayed as it is or it could be placed in a frame. Our consignor is a very longtime collector of movie paper who purchased this item years ago, and it was signed, but he doesn't know how the signature was obtained, and he (and we) believe it is likely that the autograph is authentic. Condition: very good. The stills had some creases and scuffs scattered throughout. Otherwise, the display is in pretty nice condition. Learn More about condition grades
