An Original Vintage Theatrical Paperbacked Half-Sheet Movie Poster (1/2sh; measures 22" x 28" [56 x 71 cm]) (Learn More) Bombshell (also released as "Blonde Bombshell", because the studio was worried that people would think it was a war movie!), the 1933 Victor Fleming movie-making family relationship romantic screwball comedy (about a movie actress who has an awful family who all sponge on her, and her complicated love life) starring Jean Harlow, Lee Tracy, Frank Morgan, Franchot Tone, Pat O'Brien, Una Merkel, C. Aubrey Smith, Clark Gable, Ivan Lebedeff, and Ted Healy (most famous as the person who started The Three Stooges; they were first billed as "Ted Healy and his Stooges"; he let them go on their own, hiring replacement "Stooges", but that did not work out well at all!). Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. Prior to paperbacking, the poster had had its borders trimmed off. It had some tears, smudges, and faint stains scattered throughout. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to paperbacking. The poster was nicely backed by a really expert restorer, and they did not paint over the entire poster, as some restorers do (counting on the buyer to not realize the extent of the restoration), but instead they performed expert restoration where you can see signs of the defects from close up, but from a reasonable viewing distance, the poster displays well!
