If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is a set of special educational posters created by the studio to promote this movie. Apparently, this promotion started in 1938, and these sets of posters were sent to libraries by the Motion Picture Producers and Distributors of America (apparently, the company that either printed these or distributed these). We imagine the idea was for the library to display these posters around their walls, so that visitors to the library would learn about how movies were made (this set was designed to get kids to read the book before or after they saw the movie, and the posters show behind the scenes images, information that is likely available nowhere else!), and at the same time, it would provide publicity for a current movie! These sets are incredibly rare. In our many years of auctioning, we have only seen a couple of sets offered by anyone. Now, a collection of 17 of these sets that were sent to a Massachusetts library were discovered, and are being offered here, in 17 separate auctions. We doubt we will see even a handful more of these over the next decades, so this is an extremely rare opportunity to purchase these sets. Note that each set comes with the original mailing tube from the company to the library, with either a partial of full mailing label attached to it. We can send that mailing tube to the winner of this auction, if they wish, but that will mean that the set of posters can't be combined with other purchases, so it will be up to the winner of the auction to tell us whether they want us to send the mailing tube with the set. Note: We have 13 images of the items in this set, but due to a space limitation, only TEN of the 13 images are displayed above. However, there is a "supersize" link to the right of those images that lets you see the other 3. Condition: poor. Learn More about condition grades
