Original Vintage Theatrical Chapter #10 Movie Lobby Card (measures 11" x 14") (Learn More)

The New Adventures of Batman and Robin, the 1949 Spencer Gordon Bennet DC comic book superhero crime action serial ("Rendezvous with Doom!"; "Top-Secret Data Stolen!"; "Battle for the world!"; "Into a sea of fire!"; "On the wizard's trail!"; "The deadly 'wizard' attacks!"; "A Columbia serial"; "Based on the well-known Batman comic magazine feature appearing in 'Detective Comics' and 'Batman' magazines") starring Robert Lowery (as The Caped Crusader; in the title role as Batman/Bruce Wayne), John Duncan (as The Boy Wonder; in the title role as Robin/Dick Grayson), Jane Adams (as Vicki Vale), Lyle Talbot (as Commissioner Gordon), and Ralph Graves. Note that there was an earlier serial called "Batman", made by Columbia in 1943, and this was the second Batman movie ever made!

Important Added Info:
NOTE: In this case, the #2 in the title of the sale is not the number of the lobby card. Because we are selling more than one lobby card from this movie this week as separate eBay sales, we needed to differentiate the different sales, and we did so by marking them "#1, #2, #3, etc..".
Also note that lobby cards from this superhero serial (as well as other superhero serials of the same era) are offered for sale far less often than are the one-sheets. This is probably because very few theaters ordered lobby cards for a serial, when they were just showing a single chapter (along with two movies, newsreels, and cartoons). If the theater was showing a chapter of the serial on a Saturday matinee, it would have been shown along with several other serial chapters, and again, it seems unlikely a theater would get lobby cards for these single chapters!

Condition: very good to fine. Other than some minor border defects, the card is in very nice condition.
