An Original Vintage Theatrical 8 1/4" x 10" [21 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Yvette Vickers (born Iola Yvette Vedder) was an actress from the 1950s to the 1970s. Many pretty actresses have sad biographies, but Vickers is among the saddest. She had some minor film roles in the early 1950s, and then had some major roles in now well remembered B-movies including Attack of the Giant Leeches, Attack of the 50 Foot Woman, and Reform School Girl. In 1959, she made the decision to be the centerfold in Playboy magazine (photographed by Russ Meyer!), and that pretty much ended her film career. She appeared in other "men's magazines" in the next few years. She had several stormy marriages and lived alone in Hollywood until 2010, when her body was discovered in her home, and it was thought that she had passed away around a year before, but that nobody had discovered it in all that time. Important Added Info: Note that when Yvette Vickers was still "Yvette Vedder", she got her first role in a movie in 1950's Sunset Boulevard, playing "Giggling Girl on Phone at Party"! Paramount was apparently so high on her that they made a still showing a close up of her in a sexy pose, and the writing on the back said that she was making her debut in Sunset Boulevard, and that she "is studying theater and motion picture at UCLA". Also note that this still measures 8 1/4" x 10" [21 x 25 cm]. Condition: very good to fine. The still is in very nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
