An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Insert Movie Poster (measures 14" x 36" [36 x 91 cm]) (Learn More) Ah Wilderness!, the 1935 Clarence Brown small town family relationship romantic comedy ("Eugene O'Neill's Great American Drama"; "Great.... rave the critics!"; based on the play by Eugene O'Neill; set in a small town at the turn of the century; it captures American family life at that time quite well!) starring Wallace Beery, Lionel Barrymore, Aline MacMahon, Cecilia Parker, Eric Linden, Spring Byington, Mickey Rooney (seventh billed, and not billed on the posters!), Frank Albertson, and Bonita Granville. Note that this movie was remade in 1948 as "Summer Holiday", and Mickey Rooney, who had played the young son in this first version, played the lead in that remake! We have never auctioned one in all our years of auctioning and that was twelve years ago! Note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good to very good. The folds have been backed by conservation tape and some of the wear along the folds is touched up to match the blue background (see our image). It is otherwise in generally nice condition.
