An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Movie Window Card (WC; measures 14" x 22" [36 x 56 cm]) (Learn More) S.O.S. Coast Guard, the 1942 Alan James & William Witney mad scientist science fiction (sci-fi) adventure thriller ("You'll thrill, gasp, cheer at these sights!.. Disastrous ship wrecks! A Mastodon of crime! The atom-destroyer at work! Undersea battles! And a thousand other high spots!"; a wacky story of Coast Guard men who discover a mad scientist who has discovered a mineral that gives off radioactive gas and destroys everything it touches, except for glass, and they are told he is dead, but they discover he is alive, and by the end of the movie, they have him trapped, and he and his giant servant are drowned) starring Ralph Byrd, Bela Lugosi (as Boroff, the mad scientist), Maxine Doyle, Richard Alexander (as Thorg, the giant servant), Lee Ford, and Roy Barcroft. Note that this was originally a 1937 12 chapter serial, and it was not released in a feature version in 1937, but five years later, Republic Pictures did release this edited feature version, with the same title, and since America was now in World War II, a prologue was added congratulating America's Coast Guard! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this window card was never folded. Often window cards would be folded across the middle, because that would make them 11" x 14", and they could then be sent with standard folded posters. Most collectors put an added value on a window card that has never been folded. Condition: very good. Learn More about condition grades
