An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (SpanUS 1sh; printed in Spanish in the U.S. for Spanish speaking audiences; measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Rex Beach's The World in His Arms, the 1952 Raoul Walsh historical romantic seafaring adventure melodrama ("A whole new world of adventure sweeps the screen"; based on the novel by Rex Beach) starring Gregory Peck, Ann Blyth, Anthony Quinn, John McIntire, Andrea King, Hans Conried, and William 'Wee Willie' Davis (a professional wrestler who appeared in a number of movies) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster was the very first movie poster illustrated by Reynold Brown! Also note that this poster was printed in the United States for use at theaters with Spanish speaking audiences (this was done most by MGM, starting in the 1930s, but it was done by the other major studios as well, and often the posters would have the exact same image as the English language poster, except the writing would be in Spanish, and often there would be an added "Toda en Espanol!", meaning "Entirely in Spanish!", printed within the image). Condition: good to very good. The poster had small paper loss at the crossfolds and creases and a few tiny tears on parts of some foldlines. There were pinholes and some small tears around the edges of the poster. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well! Note that after the poster was linenbacked, it was roughly handled, and there is now a light 3" crease in the right of the bottom border that extends into the white background area of the poster and the linen.
