An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Son of Dracula, the 1943 Robert Siodmak Universal vampire monster horror thriller sequel ("Red Lips Thirsting!"; "Pale Hands Caressing!"; in this sequel, the Count travels from Budapest to the Deep South of the U.S.!; this is the first Dracula movie that shows him transforming into a bat on screen) starring Louise Allbritton, Robert Paige, Evelyn Ankers, Frank Craven, J. Edward Bromberg, Samuel S. Hinds, Adeline De Walt Reynolds, Pat Moriarty, and Lon Chaney Jr. (in the title role as Count Dracula; he is credited on some posters as "Lon Chaney as Count Dracula", though his actual character name in this film is "Count Alucard", which of course is "Dracula" spelled backwards!) Important Added Info: Note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: fair to good. There are many smudges and scuffs scattered throughout the card, but none in Chaney's face. There are also some very light pencil scribbles scattered in the left blue border and a few in the bottom half of Chaney's clothes. There are two pieces of brown paper tape on the back of the top border, but they were not put there for any restoration purpose. In spite of the significant defects noted above, the image area of the card displays pretty well from a reasonable viewing distance, and of course, restoration can be performed, but please look at our super-sized images to get a good sense of the exact condition of this card before bidding.
