An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Advance One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Rollerball, the 1975 Norman Jewison English dystopian future roller skating science fiction (sci-fi) sports thriller ("In the not too distant future, wars will no longer exist. But there will be Rollerball."; "In the very near future, they will produce a war every week during prime time... And televise it to the rest of the world. They will call it Rollerball"; note that this film was set in the then distant future of 2018!) starring James Caan, John Houseman, Maud Adams, John Beck, Moses Gunn, Pamela Hensley, Barbara Trentham, and Ralph Richardson NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Bob Peak Important Added Info: Note that we have only twice before auctioned this foil advance poster (and those were in "good" and "good to very good" condition, and one was folded, and both were in lesser condition than this poster). This poster has great Bob Peak art that was not later used on other posters for this movie (and the art has a printed Bob Peak signature under it, which has "Munich 74" after it, which makes sense, since the games scenes were filmed in Munich in 1974, a year before the movie was released). Also note that poster is printed on a foil material and is very difficult to accurately photograph, but is quite striking when viewed in person! Also note that foil material scuffs quite easily, and is difficult to find in nice condition. Condition: good to very good. The poster was never folded. It has creases scattered throughout, more so around the edges, but it is noted above it is in better condition than either of the past examples we auctioned, and also note that it is difficult to photograph, and that it looks better in person than it does in our photograph.
