West of Dodge City there is no God!!"; about a cowboy who helps clean up a town sometimes run by outlaws, and his romancing of a "good" girl and a "bad" dance hall girl) starring Errol Flynn, Olivia De Havilland, Ann Sheridan, Alan Hale Sr., Frank McHugh, Bruce Cabot, John Litel, Henry Travers, Victor Jory, William Lundigan, Guinn 'Big Boy' Williams, Ward Bond, and Monte Blue NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that while we have previously auctioned seventeen different first release lobby cards from this classic movie, we have never before auctioned THIS card, which has a wonderful posed portrait of the top three stars, and it is far and away the best scene lobby card from this set! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. What IS gelbacking? Learn More Condition: very good. The card had darkened somewhat, typical of Warner Bros. linen lobby cards of this period. It had some tiny pinholes around the edges, with a tear and tiny paper loss in the top right that extended into the top of the first "A" of "HAVILLAND". There was an extremely tiny pinhole in Sheridan's forehead above her eyebrow. Overall, the card was in good to very good condition prior to restoration. A talented restorer gel backed the card (meaning they backed the card onto a gel material) and they then performed excellent restoration to the above defects, and then removed the gel backing, so that the card still exactly looks and feels like an original card (and it is!), with no backing at all.
