eMoviePoster.comAuction History Result 9t0368 HILLS OF PERIL LC 1927 many cowboys watch hero Buck Jones in confrontation, very rare! Date Sold 9/28/2021Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Hills of Peril, the 1927 Lambert Hillyer & Reginald Lyons silent cowboy western (based on the play 'A Holy Terror' by George Abbott) starring Buck Jones, Georgia Hale, Charles R. Althoff, Marjorie Beebe and Buck Black. Note that Buck Jones' white horse was named Silver (just like The Lone Ranger's later on!), and Silver made 73 movies with Buck Jones from 1922 until Jones' death in 1942 in the tragic Cocoanut Grove fire. But oddly, Silver was almost never billed on the posters for Buck Jones' movies as so many other famous horses (most especially Tom Mix's Tony) were! Also, note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper items from this movie are incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned four lobby cards and an Argentinean poster from this movie (and NO other movie paper of any kind) until we received this fifth lobby card! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good to very good. The card has tack holes, smudges, and small stains around the edges. There are a very few tiny stains scattered in the image, but they are not very distracting or noticeable. Note that this card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back! Learn More about condition grades
