It was first produced in New York City in 1842 before the company relocated to Brooklyn in the early 20th century. In the mid-1970s, Schaefer Beer was one of the top selling beers in the U.S., ranking as high as fifth in both the 1950 and 1970 rankings. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this billboard poster was printed in 12 sections designed to overlap. Also note this billboard poster was tri-folded only (which means there are less vertical machine folds than usual). This means the poster has a significantly lesser number of folds than with posters folded in the "regular" way, which is nice! Tri-folded billboard posters need to be sent in an oversized flat package, which measures roughly 13" x 30", so they cost more to send than regularly folded posters, especially if they are sent to non-U.S. addresses. Condition: good to very good. There are some small stains scattered throughout the poster and there is some tattering along the foldlines and around the edges of the sections of the poster.
