An Original Vintage Campaign Book (measures 11 1/2" x 15 1/4" [29 x 39 cm]; 24 pages) (Learn More) Pathe Comedies, the 1929 campaign book ("Fifty Two All Talking - All Singing - All Dancing Comedies") sent to theater-owners to encourage them to book Pathe comedy shorts. Apparently, Pathe was able to rush out sound films faster than the major studios, because they were shorts, and they were promoting this big advantage for theaters who badly wanted to book sound films! The ads within are all very deco looking and all created by a single artist, but we don't know who. There are also many small headshots of the Pathe stars at this time. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this book! Condition: fair. There is wear on both covers, with some tears and tiny paper loss around the edges. A number of the interior pages have some light staining, and the last few pages have a great deal of staining (see our many images).
