Mr. Paul V. McNutt, chairman, War Manpower commission, made the following statements in a nation-wide radio speech February 13, 1943. The statements were in explanation of the recent order concerning the selective service status of men engaged in certain specified occupations. Among other things, Mr. McNutt said: 'Just what is a war job? Is it simply a job making planes, or ships, or ammunition, or bomb sights? Of course not. It is any job which is useful to the war. ...We must grow food. We must process that food, put it into containers, transport it to the point of consumption...' Continental's production activities are 100% devoted to the war effort.
