An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded French "Affiche" Movie Poster (23x32; measures 23" x 31 1/4" [58 x 79 cm]) (Learn More) Tintin et les Oranges Bleues (literally translates to "Tintin and the Blue Oranges"), the 1964 Philippe Condroyer French/Spanish science fiction (sci-fi) family adventure live-action comedy (based on the characters created by Herge) starring Jean Bouise, Jean-Pierre Talbot (in the title role as Tintin), Felix Fernandez, Jenny Orleans, and Angel Alvarez. Note that the first Tintin live-action film was the 1961 Tintin et le Mystere de la Toison d'Or. It was a success and this second live-action film was produced. However, all of the roles except for the part of Tintin were recast, and the film did not do well. Since then, there have only been animated Tintin films. It appears this movie was never released in the U.S. If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Herge Important Added Info: Note that the last time we auctioned an example of this poster it sold for $454! Also note that there is a tiny "11/64 Depot legal 64/4" with "27965" by that at the bottom of the poster. This means that this poster is from the first release in 1964, and that this is the fourth time the poster was printed. Also note that this is a "country of origin" poster for this partially French movie! Finally note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good to very good. The poster has minor tape staining at left (under the "ORANGES" and at the left edge of the center horizontal fold). There are tiny pinholes in the corners. There is a tiny censor stamp at lower left in a blank area. There are a few tiny tears at right that have been repaired with tape from the back. It is otherwise in pretty nice condition and after linenbacking the poster will look great! Learn More about condition grades
