With the kind of guts that could conquer an untamed land."; "Cable Hogue says... 'Do unto others... As you would have others do unto you.'"; "Cable Hogue says... 'Never lose faith... God will provide...'"; "Sam Peckinpah, the outstanding Western filmmaker of our time, tells the story of individuals for whom life is a constant battle for survival. A distinct departure from the notoriously violent 'The Wild Bunch', 'The Ballad of Cable Hogue' is warm, human story about love and within its framework are both comic and sad moments, as well as episodes filled with dramatic action."; "Written by John Crawford & Edmund Penney") starring Jason Robards Jr. (in the title role as Cable Hogue), Stella Stevens, David Warner, Strother Martin, Slim Pickens, L.Q. Jones, Peter Whitney, and R.G. Armstrong NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Eduardo Munoz Bachs Important Added Info: Note that silkscreen (also known as screen printing) is a printing technique whereby a mesh is used to transfer ink onto a poster. Only one color is printed at a time, so several screens must be used to produce a multicolored design, and it is a laborious technique because it is traditionally all done by hand. Because of the rich thickness of the layer of color on the paper and the resulting depth and brilliance achieved through silkscreen printing, this technique was preferred by many artists throughout many cultures and periods. Condition: good to very good. There are a few faint scuff marks scattered in various areas (typical of many Cuban silkscreen posters) and there are a few pinholes around the edges.
