An Original 1933 (from the first release of this film in Sweden) Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Swedish Movie Poster (measures 27 1/2" x 39 1/4" [70 x 100 cm]) (Learn More) Lachendes Leben (released in the U.S. as "La Marche au Soleil" which literally translates to "Walking in the Sun"), the 1932 Hubert Schonger German/French silent nudist documentary (about the bad effects of "city life" and the benefits of naturism). Note that some sources say that this film was first released in 1930 and that it was not a French co-production, but information is scarce. If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Artist: Eric Rohman Important Added Info: Note that this poster has a tagline which translates to "With lectures by Professor Johan Almqvist and pictures from Stockholm Society baths and sports place". We're not sure if Almkvist was part of the original film or if new footage was added for this Swedish release. Almkvist was the pioneer of "naturism" in Sweden, beginning in 1932, when he discovered a similar movement in France and Germany. He founded an organization called "Health by Naked Culture" in 1932. His motto was "Only a document can be shameful or immoral. Anyone who sees nudity as something immoral is an unhealthy person." He passed away in 1945. Also note that this poster contains artwork of unclothed women, so we have placed a white bar over those areas, for those who are bothered by such images. Of course, the actual poster does not have those white bars!
