He was (along with Charlie Chaplin) one of the two most famous comedians in silent movies, and he continued to make sound movies as well. He has too many wonderful movies to list, but some of his movies include: The General, Sherlock Jr., The Cameraman, and he made a very memorable final cameo appearance in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. He passed away in 1966 at the age of 70. Important Added Info: Note that this letter has been personally autographed (signed) by Buster Keaton! Included with the letter (in which Mr. Keaton thanked the sender "for his many cards" that "cheered him a great deal") is the postmarked envelope in which it was originally mailed and also the personalized Christmas card from Eleanor and Buster Keaton. Our consignor is a longtime collector who purchased this signed item from a reputable dealer. He does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we believe the signature to likely be authentic.
