An Original Vintage Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh) (Learn More)

Face Value, the 1927 Robert Florey silent romantic melodrama (about a soldier who suffers from a disfiguring facial injury during World War I; he forms a society of men suffering the same issues as him before returning to his family and sweetheart, but fears they only deal with him out of pity) starring Gene Gowing, Fritzie Ridgeway, Joe Bonner, Betty Baker, and Paddy O'Flynn. Note that World War I (WWI) was the first war where not only did injuries become more catastrophic, but the rate of survival increased, which led to several problems when they returned home. Innovations in reconstructive surgery helped, but many were marginalized.
