An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie 8 1/4" x 10" [21 x 25 cm] Key Book Still (Learn More) The Spieler, the 1928 Tay Garnett carnival crime thriller ("From the original story by Hal Conklin"; about a pretty woman who owns a carnival, and she does all she can to keep the crooks out of it, but she is fighting an uphill battle; interestingly, the film shows many of the "cons" used on carnival midways in detail!) starring Alan Hale Sr., Renee Adoree, Fred Kohler, Clyde Cook, and Fred Warren NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this is a key book still that measures 8" x 10". There are many key book stills that measure 8" x 11" and have punch holes in the extra 1", but this is one of the key book stills that measures 8 1/4" x 10", and has no punch holes, and it has a stamp on the back that reads "The Spieler Keyset". Many studios spent extra money to have their most special photos, the key book stills, either backed with linen or printed on a heavy paper, both of which enhanced their durability. They had an extra 1" at the left or top, with punch holes, because of how they were stored. Key book stills are far more rare than regular stills, which has increased their popularity among collectors, since only a few keybooks were manufactured per film, and a key book still is guaranteed to be authentic. Condition: very good to fine. The still is in very nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
