An Original Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Night of the Living Dead, the classic 1968 George A. Romero & John A. Russo end-of-the-world science fiction (sci-fi) walking-dead undead zombie horror thriller ("They won't stay dead!"; "They keep coming back in a bloodthirsty lust for human flesh!... Pits the dead against the living in a struggle for survival!") starring Judith O'Dea, Duane Jones, Marilyn Eastman, Karl Hardman, Judith Ridley, Kyra Schon, Charles Craig, Keith Wayne, Randy Burr, S. William Hinzman (billed as "Bill Heinzman"; as the graveyard zombie), George A. Romero (the director, as one of the Washington reporters!), Russell Streiner, Ella Mae Smith, Dick Heckard, John Kirch, Paula Richards, George Kosana, John Russo, Richard Ricci, and Terry Gindele NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster has a quote from a Pittsburgh review at the top which is missing from the "regular" one-sheet (and re-release one-sheets), and in the past, we were uncertain of the date of this poster. However, a search of archived newspapers shows that this quote was used to advertise the film at least as early as October 22nd of 1968. As the film premiered in Pittsburgh on October 1st, it seems certain that this poster is from the first release of the film in 1968.
UPDATED 07/19/2017: Note that this poster is from the 1968 first release and not the 1969 re-release as we originally listed. We have also updated the Important Added Info section. Condition: good. The poster was folded in half an extra time resulting in a light vertical foldline at left and right and there are many pinholes, smudges and tape stains around the edges (which were folded back at one time). There is a patch of surface paper loss at right near the blank border and there is a drip stain at lower left near the art of the woman's mouth. Please see our super-sized image to get a good sense of the condition of this item prior to placing a bid. Learn More about condition grades
