An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (27" x 41") (Learn More) My Forbidden Past (also released as "Carriage Entrance"), the 1951 Robert Stevenson New Orleans Louisiana family relationship romantic inheritance melodrama ("She's the kind of woman that made New Orleans famous!"; "Red hot romance that rocks ol' New Orleans right down to the base of Basin Street!"; "From the novel 'Carriage Entrance' by Polan Banks"; about a woman who wants to marry a respectable doctor, but when it is revealed that her grandmother had a checkered past, the threat of scandal ends their romance, but then she inherits much money from her grandmother and uses it to win him back) starring Robert Mitchum, Ava Gardner, Melvyn Douglas, Lucille Watson, and Janis Carter NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and one of the following is true: either the poster had very minor defects, and was well backed, OR it had more significant defects, but they were extremely well restored, OR it had some minor defects that were not completely restored, and are somewhat noticeable. You can tell which of the above is the case for this particular poster by reading our "pre-restoration" description and also by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). The poster had tears and tiny paper loss in the right half of the middle foldline and in the bottom 1/4 of the vertical foldline. Other than the above, the poster had minor fold and border wear.
