Date Sold 8/29/2024Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Unfolded Half Subway Movie Poster (measures 29 1/2" x 45" [75 x 114 cm]) (Learn More) Slip up, the 1975 Roberta Findlay sexploitation melodrama ("Have you ever wondered why nothing seems to work anymore?"; "Slip up... has the answer!"; "Slip up...tells you why!"; "A Social Commentary"; "X for Senior Citizens and other Ladies and Gentlemen over 21") starring Darby Lloyd Rains, Jamey Gillis, Amy Wells, Marc Stevens, Eric Edwards, Sandi Foxx, Lynn Ashley, Steven Blackwell, John Buco, and Eric Eaton Artist: Ben Patitucci Important Added Info: Note that around this time, studios were creating "subway posters" for many releases, which were 45" x 60" horizontally-shaped posters that were glued up on walls all over New York City (hence the name "subway poster"). They also made these smaller "subway" posters which measure approximately half the size of a regular "subway" poster (usually around 29" x 45"), and look like a one-sheet, only bigger, but they have information about one or more specific New York theaters then-currently showing that movie. Note that in recent months we started auctioning a wonderful collection of sexploitation one-sheets that includes many extremely rare titles from a single collector, and that collection includes lots of folded one-sheets, but also rolled one-sheets, special posters, and some other posters as well. This month there are 95 different rolled posters (all are in separate auctions), and they include a number of posters that we have only auctioned once or twice before. There are also a number with great images or taglines. This is an excellent opportunity to add one or more of these rare rolled posters to your collection, and this consignor only had one of each title, so on the rare ones, it may be quite some time before we offer the same title again! Condition: good. The poster has pinholes, creases, defects, areas of paper loss and tears of varying lengths along parts of some edges (see our image). It is otherwise "mostly all there" and after proper restoration the poster will display well, but bear in mind the poster's condition and the cost of restoration before bidding on it.
