Marin romantic musical comedy starring Allan Jones, Judy Garland, Fanny Brice, Reginald Owen, Billie Burke, Reginald Gardiner, and Lynne Carver. Note that there is an oddity about this movie. On the one-sheets, Judy Garland is billed second, but on the lobby cards, she is billed third! Can anyone explain why this would be? NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that first release movie posters from this very early Judy Garland movie are incredibly rare. We had only previously auctioned lobby cards, stills, other small items, and one kraftbacked three-sheet, but no other posters from it whatsoever! Condition: fair to good. The poster was never folded. There are many stains on the back of the poster with some of them affecting the front, but mostly at top center. There are also some pinholes and tiny areas of paper loss in that same area. There is tiny paper loss and a tear in the middle of Brice's dress and paper loss in her cheek touching her mouth. There are areas of surface paper loss in the top left, including in two of the women, and very slightly in Garland's image there. Obviously this incredibly rare poster could be rescued through restoration, but bear all of the above in mind and look at our super-sized image before bidding on this poster.
